Supporters world wide know of John Thomson. The Celtic goalkeeper killed in an accidental clash at Ibrox v Rangers on 5th September 1931. His Grave at Cardenden, Fife is visited regularly. Tom Greig has written a wonderful book on John See books Section.
Supporters in the Lochgelly area of Fife run a Committee in Memory of John. It holds annual football tournaments for local children. They too have a booklet on John

Jan 2009 - Support The John Thomson Memorial Committee fund raising.
They are holding a special joint celebration Friday 30th January 2009 to mark JOHN’S 100TH birth and his inclusion into hall of fame.
The Committee have produced a brochure (image coming soon) for the evening and have extra copies printed which they hope to sell to raise funds for the Annual Tournament.
