CELTIC Programmes
2006/7 SEASON
Last 16 - 2nd Leg
AC Milan 1 v Celtic 0
7th March 2007

Update 26th March - VIP issue. I have just obtained a VIP issue programme for the match. It is almost identical to the match programme on sale around staium. However it has the words "copia omaggio" printed (not stamped) down left side. My friend in Italy translates this as "Free Copy" or "Complimantary Copy". I further checked and found this was given out in VIP areas. Not many of them about.
See images below with close-up showing words.

Below further down page is the match ticket. Then the Official programme - 2 euros on sale inside stadium. Available in Celtic sections. I saw at least 3 sellers but programmes were going fast. We were in early so no idea if it lasted for all supporters entering and wishing to buy it. I did not see many carrying it on way out.

The red glossy A4 20 page programme (below) was sold in city and at airport. It is similar in style to one sold in Lisbon for Benfica match and is a pirate programme. Very nice pirate programme all the same. Puts many other european club programmes in the shadows.

The yellow 24 page A5 size pirate programme (below) was on sale at stadium and in the city centre . It is in style of previous pirates v Benfica, Barcelona and Villarreal.

Danny Jacobs got a third pirate with a red devil cartoon character by arranging to meet a seller. I did not see this programme in city and I searched for hours. I don't know anyone else who saw it on sale so I cannot help with an image. It was on ebay before the match via regular seller from Belgium.

A green/red pirate programme was handed out free around stadium and in city and bars. It is aimed at showing annoyance at eBay con pirates- my feelings on eBay cons are well know to regular visitors.
I have a number to give out I am not selling and it is one each. I ask they are not sold on and dare I say not for eBay. Contact me for details. I will need a SAE but want collectors to reserve a copy so I know where they are going.

Many other pirate programmes will appear available on eBay only . As I have said before. They are cons never in country of match, never mind sold at game. Made purely to make money out of collectors of all UK teams in Europe. I don't mind pirates if available at game. One seller says he bought at Milan airport. Check shows he sells other club pirates. Selling to yourself whilst dreaming you are at Milan Airport does not count in my book!

Did you know you can get Champions League match press packs? Get from www.uefa.com.
Open as pdf document and print off yourself
. No need to buy off eBay sellers who are mostly doing that themselves and selling at a profit.
I found another batch of Match badges on sale in city by vendors from a few countries.

www.celticbadges.com updated to show the badges. It should take total to about 112 for this season's Champions League matches involving Celtic. Thomas Cook Sports gave away a nice match badge on flights to Milan. See image on www.celticbadges.com .

The Celtic official match ticket differ from the tickets I saw fans carrying for other sections of stadium. There is a silver foil strip of rear of Celtic area tickets. It was on front of other area tickets.

I am not listing Forza Milan. It is basically same as Celtic View sold on newsstands for the month. If we start classing them as programmes where do we stop. Also daily newspapers not listed. Another road not to go down. How would you feel if Daily Record was passed as a Celtic programme.

I saw supporters in home sections reading a free newspaper. I believe it carried a bit on match. A friend has a copy for me. I will look at it to see if it is for the match. Update. This was a free newspaper. Nothing to do with game in it. It is along lines of free Metro newspapers handed out in many cities.
